About your host, Misha
Misha’s home is Pshav-khevsureti. He was born there, grew up there, and his heart has always stayed there. His passion for tourism started at university where he led cultural and adventure tourism. He has guided visitors to Khevsureti for more than 6 years.
Where we will be
Khevsureti is located at the northeastern ridge of the Great Caucasus. It houses unique monuments of cultural heritage, remains of ancient villages, folk crafts and items from everyday life. The area has outstanding views with its alpine meadows and well-preserved nature.
What we’ll do
We will be doing off-road driving, hiking, camping, and wildlife watching. We will experience the beauty of the North Caucasus Mountains and Old tower cities of Shatili, and the panoramic Mutso Castle - one of the most impressive tower villages in all Georgia. Surrounded by pristine nature, we will meet the hospitable Khevsurs, learn about their traditions representing a juxtaposition of Christian beliefs and strong pre-Christian traditions, legends, poetry and music. Finally, we will visit Korsha Etnographical Museum for a scientific perspective on this fascinating part of Georgia.
